In addition to private practice Mary assists families involved with Child Welfare Services.
Mary approaches therapy with her clients collaboratively, striving to be unbiased and non-judgmental, yet supportive and trusting. Mary believes therapy should be a safe space to explore one’s innermost fears while practicing real life communication in order to grow and better one’s self and his/her relationships. Mary encourages her clients to find their authentic voice and personal values among influences from family, peer, and society on standards for how relationships, intimacy and success “should” be. Her style of therapy is engaging and solution-focused while using validation, empathy and humor, too.
Mary has experience working with individuals and families who are struggling with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, relationship issues and parenting challenges. Additionally, she helps clients who are struggling to resolve childhood traumas or past relationship issues manifesting in present-day relationships.
