Ian Arruda is post-graduate/pre-licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Born and raised on the Island of Hawai’i, Ian attended Saint Joseph High School and obtained his undergraduate in Psychology from the University of Hawai’i at Hilo. Since 2001 Ian has been active in social services in various capacities including working with adults with developmental disabilities, adults with severe and persistent mental illness, and working with Child Welfare Services.

Stepping away from school and work, Ian enjoys sharing time with his wife and daughter, snorkeling, hiking, and supporting the Big Island’s performing arts community.
