In 2017, the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) held a vote resulting in the dissolving of all local/state chapters of the national organization. As such Hawai’i has opted to regroup as a local, independent organization called Marriage & Family Therapists of Hawai’i (MFT-HI). This new professional organization will serve and highlight local MFTs and anyone interested in practicing mental health systemically and relationally.

Over the next year, the MFT-HI will be providing more information about benefits of membership including discounts at training events, local continuing education (CE) events, and more.
